How can you use cloud-based automation tools to streamline HR processes?

With cloud-based automation, such as Power Automate and Power Automate Desktop, many aspects of these checklists and be semi-automated or fully automated. Examples include automating the ordering of equipment, uniforms, badges, and similar items. In addition, approvals can be implemented, and the status of each item can be tracked in Excel, SharePoint lists, and even Dataverse tables.

HR teams can greatly benefit from low-code automation, such as Power Automate and Power Automate Desktop, by automating checklists, moving/copying data from one location to another, completing data entry, and generating approvals with next step actions. For example, when a new employee signs an offer letter, that can trigger a checklist with an automated email inviting the new employee to complete basic onboarding, such as collecting I-9 information, setting up payroll, providing benefit information, enrollment in training, and more. As individual items are completed, they can trigger additional back-office tasks for others in the organization.

TThere are tones out there, so could you make sure you choose the correct one? Once selected, go with the Tool and follow the best practices. Then define your process before starting with automation cause a "bad Process sucks, also when automated, but faster." So everything is based on a defined Process, and then have fun and automate. Maybe a Joiner/Mover/Leaver Process is not best to start when not done Process Automation before. So, think about a more straightforward process to start with.
