En el tiempo y la experiencia, me ha dejado que el CAD a sus inicios, fue uno de lo principales inicios al modelado a pesar que contribuye con sus herramientas del 3D CAD, ahora se a tornado básico 2D, solo para plasmar el dise?o, en efecto ya como metodología BIM, el uso de REVIT por ejemplo alcanza un nivel mas avanzado donde ya es te contiene información y base de datos para un mejor control y calidad del producto. Y hoy en día, ambas aun se integran para el entorno del equipo de proyecto. Sin embargo la parte BIM va mucho mas allá y supera las expectativas.

BIM is extensive and are rated in the order of Ds. 3D, 4D, 5D etc depending on the extent of information the model contains in it. BIM could be developed to contain cost and materials on a project. 4. BIM are super intelligent based on how it is prepared. 5. BIM is capable of automatic update of other related information based on a change in input. CAD could be best imagined as a foundation layout to a glamorous building and that building is BIM. CAD could be so basic while BIM could be super intelligent depending on the dexterity of its user / administrator.
