This specialized courses provided me with a strong basis in both User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) ideas. I learned about design thinking, user research, wireframe design, mockup design, and prototyping from the lessons. I recommend taking this course if you want to have an in-depth understanding of fundamental ideas in User Experience Design (UED).

I'd recommend Google's UX Design course which can help you uncover all the basics concepts and you can understand what UX really is? What tools do we use in UX design? What are the different sub fields or branches of UX? And what are the different types of UX Designers? After that, keep on self exploring on your own, learn Figma, learn UI principles and Laws, and keep practicing. Also, try observing UX of existing popular applications or websites and if you find any issue in them, try to fix those problems and come up with a solution and add it to your portfolio

Starting out and standing out in the UI/UX Design is quite a tall task, not only you're expected to know the fundamentals but you're expected to create designs not only that can be visually appealing but also expect to create designs that can impact people or gain attention to a certain niche or group as well. My journey into UI/UX Design is quite an interesting one. From doing blockchain programming to being involved in real estate matters and the process through all of that are challenging. I started taking the learning seriously through Google's UX Certification Course (through Coursera) and from there, I've learned the fundamentals solidify not only my knowledge but also the application of UI/UX Design principles as well.

I always recommend playing it safe and learning everything related to user experience, it's a whole world, so it's important to know everything. Then, when you encounter all kinds of things, you will know how to deal with them.

I think the portfolio is the oldest and most difficult challenge for user experience designers. This is actually the issue of the tools, with which we are tested by the recruiters and see what we are supposedly worth. That is why it is very important to invest in the portfolio, to know how to get the best out of it, for the future.

Yo diría enfocarse no en la impresión que quisera generar porque eso nos puede poner nerviosos. Mas bien ver la entrevista como una oportunidad de conocer gente buena, ampliar tu red, escuchar, tratar de identificar las necesidades de la organización y cómo puedes tú cubrirlas.

En el quinto paso, perfecciona tus habilidades de entrevista para destacar en el proceso de selección de UX. Investiga a fondo la empresa y el puesto, alineando tu experiencia con sus necesidades. Revisa tu portafolio y currículum para hablar con confianza sobre proyectos y logros. Anticipa preguntas comunes y formula inquisitivas sobre expectativas y cultura. Realiza simulacros de entrevistas para mejorar la comunicación y manejar nervios. La preparación exhaustiva te dará confianza para enfrentar con éxito las entrevistas de UX y asegurar tu transición profesional.

There is no such thing as "Ease" while transitioning your career but you can do it and may find it interesting. Learning UX and UI is not a simple thing, the more you dive into it the more things uncover one after another. Just remember one thing, why you want to transition and the reason for that matters a lot. Agreeing with all the points here, think about why you want to transition, is it something you want to try part-time, or is it something you are passionate about but haven't thought about making it as a full-time career, or do you enjoy these things? Maybe the answers to those "Why" will give you a better understanding of why you want to switch and then you will start enjoying in no time.

I think the one thing that's not quite mentioned in here is the importance of building connections and expanding your network of people in the industry. In almost 3 years in the field, I've met quite a lot people, seeing their perspectives (through posts on LinkedIn), gaining insights and knowledge and be able to communicate with them as to how you can refine/work on your skillsets related to the field in order to become better at it. So having to build a connection is important is because you're not only learning for yourself and your body of work, but also because you can have the opportunity to pass it on/pay it forward to the others that are starting in the field and share your experiences, insights as well.
