Mentoring is a valuable way to learn, grow, and develop your skills and career. But like any relationship, it can also come to an end. How can you tell when a mentoring relationship is over? A monetary relationship between your Mentor and yourself can be very tricky indeed. Keep money out of the relationship for as long as possible. A Mentor is not a Boss, there are too many dynamic relationship factors that can go wrong by forcing a Boss or an Investor to be your Mentor. Conflict can arise and there can be no easy mediation.
