Before you start creating your data quality and governance curriculum, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve and who you are teaching. What are the learning outcomes and competencies you want to develop? What are the data quality and governance challenges and opportunities in your domain or industry? Who are your learners and what are their backgrounds, motivations, and expectations? How will you measure and evaluate their progress and performance? These questions will help you define your objectives and audience, and tailor your content and delivery accordingly.
The first thing I would do is separate data quality and data governance. They're 2 different data disciplines. They work together, but they are separate. People new to the concept often struggle to understand because some people use one to define the other. With separate training courses, you can teach one at a time, including discussing how they fit together. Smaller more specific courses are often better for adult learners to understand, take time to absorb the information, and have time to operationalize one before moving on to the other.

After that participants should be shown how can the present state of the data quality be measured. Once this is done targeted state of data quality should be determined. After this processes should be put in place to reach the targeted state of data quality. The whole curriculum should be designed in such a way that it is tied to a business impact.

Just like with any other knowledge material, there are stages of learning to be considered all along. The level of adoption can be expected after the previous stages of learning. During these previous phases the hands of the learners still need to be held to help them succeed with the application of the knowledge.
Continuous quality improvement is a process that permeates our entire framework. It’s not just about correcting identified data but also about re-evaluating whether the scores for the metrics, business rules, and definitions still reflect the reality of the data and making adjustments when necessary. This includes updating the Data Catalog with new parameters. Remember, improvement is a journey, not a destination.
Data quality can be broken down into two parts. One of the parts is contextual, while the other is crosscutting. It needs to be clear what part we are talking about. Intrinsic data quality is universal. No matter what our application space would be, certain things matter. Accuracy and completeness are good examples of this. Extrinsic data quality has to do with circumstances intersected with the data. Assuming intrinsic quality, now we need to worry about things like relevance and reliability. I teach data cleaning/quality. If we are doing training and education on data quality, the things you want to train people on are aspects of intrinsic quality. I would do small sessions to help build extrinsic quality on new projects.
