You need to comfortable with chaos or being in the eye of the storm. Being a risk professional can be tumultuous. Businesses evolve, cycles in errors or staff performance or attrition can confluence to create 'risk-ridden' periods. If risks are serious enough in quantum or time, it will require percolation, escalation, board presentation, perhaps regulatory reporting. So it takes mettle "Never fear a storm, learn to dance in the rain ??"
