2 Set energy reduction targets and plans

The next step is to set realistic and achievable energy reduction targets and plans based on your assessment results. You can use the SMART criteria (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound) to define your energy goals and indicators. You can also use the PDCA cycle (plan, do, check, act) to implement and evaluate your energy plans. You should involve all relevant stakeholders, such as operators, engineers, managers, and suppliers, in the planning and execution process. You should also communicate your energy targets and plans clearly and regularly to ensure alignment and commitment.

Das Erstellen von Energiesparpl?nen und neuen Zielen wird gerade durch die Verpflichtung zur Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung in den n?chsten Jahren noch weiter in den Vordergrund rücken. Energiesparleistungen zahlen dann nicht mehr nur kostentechnisch auf die Unternehmensziele ein, sondern auch auf die Imageverbesserung. Damit ist es auch ein Tool, um dem Fachkr?ftemangel entgegenzuwirken.

3 Implement energy-saving measures

The third step is to implement the energy-saving measures that you have identified and planned. These measures can be categorized into three types: low-cost or no-cost, medium-cost, and high-cost. Low-cost or no-cost measures are those that require little or no investment, such as adjusting the temperature, lighting, and ventilation settings, switching off or unplugging idle equipment, and educating and motivating employees to adopt energy-efficient behaviors. 4 Monitor and evaluate your energy performance

The fourth step is to monitor and evaluate your energy performance regularly and systematically. You can use the same tools that you used in the assessment step, such as energy audits, meters, sensors, and software, to collect and analyze data on your energy consumption, production output, and equipment condition. You can also use the TPM performance indicators, such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), mean time between failures (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR), to measure and compare your energy efficiency and reliability. You should review and report your energy performance periodically and transparently to track your progress and identify any deviations or problems.

Damit der Energieverbrauch auch systematisch und problemlos überwacht werden kann, ist der Einsatz neuer Technologien essenziell. Manchmal reicht es jedoch auch schon die bestehenden Anlangen nachzurüsten. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage, ob sich das für die eigene Anlage überhaupt noch lohnt. Auch meiner pers?nlichen Erfahrung kann ich sagen: Elektrische Infrarotw?rme verbessert sehr h?ufig die Energieeffizienz beim Trocknen und Aush?rten. Wir haben in unserem Anwendungszentrum schon zahlreiche Tests durchgeführt. Bei industriellen Prozessen sollte man also in jedem Fall überlegen, ob man von Gas zu elektrischem Infrarot wechselt – und dann am besten auf grünen Strom setzt. Bei Fragen oder für Erfahrungsberichte k?nnen Sie sich gerne bei mir melden.
