A lot of research has been conducted on how utilising “gamification” to increase staff effectiveness. While it can help in some areas, it’s not a straightforward case. Gamification can end up in creating an environment where both management and staff are looking at maximising their performance on paper, which might not translate into actual performance. This makes it even more important to design a system that not only compliments the efforts of staff, but also assesses it in the correct way.
