You can get confident when listening Electronics voltage level with, but the Power Electronic device can be dangerous like HV. Not all meassurament instrument are safe when you are working on power electronic, you will need to know isolation capacity and class level. Power electronics devices as souch inverters works high current levels. Electronics card, boards used in power electronic works with high voltsje AC/DC levels.

In my industry the electic shock effects VFD motors-it is the additional of a transmission to a two speed motor. Electrical inpules travel down and electic the shafts. They cause pitting and pock markets. HVAC has electric all around. I have seen the results of fires, had a friend pass away from shock when an ice machine overflowed. Its crucial to always be aware our your sourrounds and the electrical flow into and out of the conduits

High voltage, high current, high switching frequency make a volatile mixture for electronics to handle. Power electronics hardware lives in that world! A personal story below. I've been fortunate to have learnt from early pioneers of power electronics that specialized in thyristors and GTOs (gate turn-off thyristors). However, during my doctoral research, I started to develop circuits with IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Thyristors) power switches for faster switching while learning on the job the rigorous circuit noise mitigation techniques. During one such episode, I suffered through the destruction (blow-up) of my hardware proto which was 10+ months into its development. I learnt my lessons and surely remember them :)

Grid-tieing power electronics hardware that backfeeds into the electric grid has its own set of challenges. The design process starts with significant attention to details in the noise mitigation techniques of the printed circuit board or package design without compromising the creepage, clearance requirements per many of the safety standards and other packaging requirements for the application/product. Additionally, the complexity of backfeeding into the grid - a sinusoidally varying grid voltage quantity - is strictly stipulated by code. The hardware needs to have anti-islanding protection built-in to prevent electric shock hazards on the power system during grid outage conditions. That's a whole another topic for a different day :)
