Not giving any information or the least amount of information from the beginning is the smartest way to protect your privacy. Do not use the voice activation feature. Though useful sometimes, it is definitely not helping in your security and privacy. A few other things to pay attention to are review your settings and check the default permissions. Go to your setting app and check the settings for every app individually. Also, whenever you install a new app, be mindful of the permissions you are giving it. A lot of settings have default sharing on and you will have to go and turn them off, also do not give permissions to other apps for voice search.

Another way to protect your privacy is to review and delete your voice recordings regularly.
