However, a great place to start is by evaluating your personal preferences, self-discipline (this is HUGE), and space in your home. I have noticed that many people who thrive in remote settings are very focused and motivated. Sometimes those that crave social interaction and in-person connections with colleagues don't enjoy it as much. I love remote work because I do not have to commute, I have a great office with a window, I can throw in laundry in the middle of the day, I can snuggle my dog, I can go on walks, I can exercise when I want, and the list goes on.
