You need to be more organized than any of your clients. Consider reading books like "Getting Things Done." At the end of the day all you really need is a Todo list. How you write it and organize it is up to you, so long as you have a place you can quickly and easily add tasks as they come up, and, at any time, can find out what tasks you should be doing right now when you sit down at your desk in the morning, that's all that matters. All the books say, start with paper, and that works. Google calendar isn't too bad. Todoist is great. I use emacs org mode but I really don't recommend it for noobs. When it comes to sharing tasks with your client, you need a kanban board of some kind. Github projects, trello, leantime, etc.

You won't remember all of it or even much of it, but the information will slowly accumulate and bounce around in your head, making you better in ways you won't expect or even notice!

Generally it is great to learn and use new technologies, however there are cases where a developer must find a balance between the "new" and "what works best" for the clients or team. In my opinion, freelancers are at liberty to use latest technologies as competition demand. I also find that staying close to tech communities, reading verified articles are simple ways to learn and unlearn for growth. However, developers who work in a team may find some of these pro-active practices irrelevant as they may not be effective or align with the team principles.

Another way to learn new technologies is through contributing to GitHub repositories. They’re open-source and allow you to look into possibilities of improving the existing code. If you see ways of improving the code, pull down a branch, study it at length and familiarize yourself with it, make the changes and submit a pull request. If the repo owner likes your changes, they’ll incorporate it, and BOOM, you’ve just contributed to your first open-source project! *HTML5 Freelance is not a job.* Knowing HTML is the very basic for every front end developer, and you can not realistically contribute professionally to a web application with only this knowledge. You have to understand Javascript in order to make your application more dynamic, understand the benefits of Typescript on top of that to have more maintainable code, have knowledge about the main used frameworks to simplify the process of creating modern web applications (custom components, ReactJS, VueJS, Svelte, Astro, etc.), get used to some libraries (Bootstrap, Material UI, ...), understand styling languages and systems (CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, ...).
