Hyperparameter tuning adjusts settings to improve an algorithm's performance, like finding the right speed for a bike to go faster without crashing. For e.g., adjusting the learning rate in a model can make it learn better from data. However, a drawback is that it can be time consuming.

Efficient coding helps algorithms run faster and use less computer resources. For e.g., if a code is like a set of instructions to build a model, efficient coding ensures you use the fewest possible blocks to build it, making the process quicker and simpler.

Feature engineering is a good step in trying. Transforming raw data into informative features can provide the model with more relevant information, leading to better performance and faster analysis. Techniques like creating interaction terms, binning variables, encoding categories, and deriving new features can streamline the process and reduce computational overhead. This way, you can extract maximum value from your data while minimizing unnecessary expenses.

On the topic of data wrangling and preprocessing, specifically feature engineering - Only focus on the most relevant features that affect your prediction. Less data means faster processing.
