Es bastante relevante analizar si se está cumpliendo (y superando) las expectativas del rol actual. En mi experiencia, muchas veces las personas piensan que "como tengo todo el día ocupado" seguramente estoy excediendo expectativas , pero en realidad la medición correcta es si estoy usando mi tiempo y mis recursos en aquellos objetivos que son prioritarios para mi rol. El feedback constante con el jefe, pares y equipo es vital para poder hacer esta evaluación de situación.

Algunos "tips "o "guidelines" antes de pedir una nueva responsabilidad sería preguntarse a uno mismo "tengo lo que se necesita para cumplir este nuevo rol"? qué tan relevante es este nuevol rol en el marco de los objetivos estratégicos de la empresa? Qué estoy dispuesto a "soltar" o delegar respecto a mis funciones actuales para poder tomar mas responsabilidades, y desde luego "quién" o quiénes de mi equipo tomarían las responsabilidades que estoy dejando.
