Lo mejor que se puede hacer es llevar en todo momento los tiempos de la conversación, ya que eres tú quien tiene el servicio y por tanto llevar la conversación de forma organizada crea mucha confianza con el cliente, quien no forma parte de este mundo y quiere una solución a su problema sin necesidad de entender los procesos. Con esto por delante, podrás anticipar tu oferta al cliente con todas las ventajas ofrecidas, preguntándole si le parece bien. El cliente querrá bajar el precio siempre, pero mi consejo sería que si quiere alguna rebaja será la supresión de algún servicio ofertado, o incluirle algún peque?o servicio extra por el mismo precio. I go the extra mile to ensure I do a proper follow-up, once we agree on the price and I send an invoice, all I do is to send messages to keep them aware that I am involved in their planning, I would ask them questions about their sound engineer, DJ, Decorator, Food Vendor, Security and ever other thing. Asumamos que fuiste contratado por tus conocimientos y experiencia, afirmemos que aún teniendo una tarifa más cara que la competencia, tu cliente aceptó tu propuesta... pero si al momento de entrar en el proceso de post producción y entrega del proyecto, tu actitud y compromiso con las fechas de entrega no son coherentes con los acuerdos, podría acabar con la expectativa y decisión de volver a trabajar contigo. Tómalo en cuenta, ni el portafolio más solido puede con la falta de compromiso. El prestigio se construye en distintas direcciones.

If it's not a good match, it's okay to politely say "I don't think we're a good match, but good luck to you" than to take on the job because you need to pay the rent. When you advertise, screen your clients carefully. In time or if you already have the experience, you'll start to "get a feeling" if this client is the type you want to work with.
