My two cents: look at career goals that go beyond your current organisation. If the current organisation fits your goals and plan: excellent! If it doesn’t, your employee will be better off with you leaving on good term to find your next career opportunity than for you to stick around in an environment that is not going to be helpful from a career developmental perspective.

The next step is to identify your career goals for short and long term, what success means to you and how you will measure it, and what are the gaps that you need to overcome to reach your goal, make sure to make your goals SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and time framed)

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely: The world is full of willing people; some are willing to work and struggle to find their footing, and the rest are willing to let them. Merit should be the basis for selection, finding candidates with the right mindset, passion, Religiosity, and approach to work! not nepotism of favoring relatives or close friends when it comes to hiring, regardless of their qualifications.

Better way to do it is Reverse Engineering. ??Step 1: You find your ultimate aspiration role wise/ designation wise etc. ??Step 2: Find people or search ?? who all are holding these positions in esteemed organisations ??Step 3: open their profile and understand their career journey , gauge the navigation ( zoom in and zoom out) ????♂?Step 4: Find a pattern and see your current position, identify the gap. ??Step 5: Bridge the gap and take decisions wisely through design thinking of career path. ??Step 6: keep at it, you will reach. At the end, ??enjoy the “safar”(journey) don’t “suffer”, because nothing supersedes more than your life.??
