How can you meet your supervisor's expectations for managing deadlines in Product Innovation?

Calling it 'Define the scope' instead of 'understand the scope' would make this point more effective. Defining, that is, making sure that you jointly come up with goals, expectations etc with the supervisor builds buy in from both sides around ambitions but also constraints. And that helps better set (and therefore, manage) expectations vs. 'understanding' where ownership of expectations and constraints may be one way.

Discuss expectations , document expectations and update progress regularly. U need to be assertive when u r listening to expectations. If something is absolutely out of scope then communicate clearly . Under short term and long term vision of new product . Try and co relate with u , check how it will benefit u . It will help u to understand and develop better. No shortcut pls . It will bounce back

Haben Sie Folgeaufgaben (B kann erst nach A erledigt werden) priorisieren Sie A und starten Sie andere Aufgaben in den Buffern, falls diese gr??er ausfallen. Nehmen Sie sich für Aufgaben mehr Zeit und Buffer, als dafür knapp ausreicht. Jeder kann l?nger auf ein Projekt warten, aber nicht, wenn die Deadline bereits fest zu früh gesetzt ist.

Timely and effective Communication is a key . Update both - positive and negative outcome of a short project . Include supervisor , other colleagues or your vendor wherever required . Spend more time on that hurdle to understand immediate solution and future challenges if any . Work as a team . That’s important .

Life is full of surprises. Sometimes it’s negative. Keep patience. It’s important to have a continuous evaluation and feedback session with team . Correlate progress with your master action plan . Different teams will be working on different action plan and hence it’s necessary to go through visualise end product regularly.

Innovation is a tough subject . Innovation means something new , something which does not exist , something which no one has studied . Hence it is important to continuously learn . You may it learn completely but try and search for what should be next step . For eg it’s impossible to learn detail coding for some from Non IT background , but he can try and find new techniques/ emerging technologies in field of his research. Take a continuous feedback from expert . U will need to learn and upgrade continuously.
