However, how can you measure the success of aligning your team's goals with other teams' goals? If you’re evaluating success across a large group of people with different work streams, my advice would be to keep the number of goals to a minimum. The more goals you have, the more convoluted things can get. One, two, three MAX. Make sure you keep them as SMART goals (look it up, if you don’t know what those are).

Inspect what you expect. No need to over analyze data, but get in the weeds with your team members.. they they’re having a “pebble in the shoe” moment, ask why and what can we do about it. I’ve seen some solid team members not even have an answer and there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s why you’re there as a leader. Show them how to persevere. Use data to show where they are trending as well. Data don’t lie, but in person meetings for 5-10min can help align goals and issues (also successes). They help show healthy habits as well.
