Lo más importante es conocer la plataforma del negocio y así evaluar que SO es el más conveniente basado en seguridad, estabilidad y costos. Además debemos saber cual es el soporte qie tiene ese SO del fabricante así como el soporte del staff de TI de la organización. El SO debe de ser estable en el tiempo, para reducir el outage y el rendimiento. No es conveniente estar realizando actualizaciones muy seguidas debido a bugs o rendimiento.

Para el usuario final debe ser transparente el hecho de qie un SO sea multiplataforma o no. El Front End no se debe de enterar de procesos que el back end debe de resolver o habilitar.
