How can you maintain your core values while scaling your small business?

It’s a balance of hiring for today’s role / needs as well as future planning for roles / needs that do not yet exist or are not yet the top priority. This will all support growth, change, and core values in a scaling business.

If There is a set of core values that you want to showcase now and throughout your career, one way is to get feedback from you clients. -example if you are focusing on Quality ,Customer service, and responsibility, those values need to be present at the start of the workday and the end of the workday every day. And can Simply check in with the Client or customer and ask them if you are delivering on those. -those values need to be talked about constantly to keep them alive and well. Checking in at the end of each job or with each customer or client. You are then able to refine that feedback accordingly into your business daily.

Evolving, so might your values. Regularly review them to ensure they still represent who you are and where the business is going and aiming for. ?? It’s crucial to remain relevant and true to our mission.

Sometimes it’s really hard when you are scaling a business to maintain your core values. In the early stages of a business it has been suggested that you eat what you kill! But this doesn’t mean that you should take on any customer or client or hire just anyone. Despite the challenges you may be facing it’s ok to say no. If you are working with clients you like and a team that shares your values and goals it will all come good. Stay true to yourself your business and what you are trying to build. I have seen toxic clients and staff destroy businesses that had huge potential. Set out your stall and stick with it, you will enjoy the journey a whole lot more.
