When you're running a business, I think there are 2 fundamentals. 1. Everyday start afresh, as if it was your first day in the business. Delete what you thought yesterday and focus from a clean sheet of paper today. Prioritise tasks based upon the current expected value they will bring to your business, and not based on how upset or angry you may feel - i.e. remove sentiment. 2. Always have Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and even Plan D, ready to execute. Funding will always be tough for a startup, and that cash churn rate daunting. So, in order to survive, your financial modelling should throw out at least 4 Plans. As you track through the financials against your financial modelling, this will determine which Plan you put into affect, and when.

Reconnect with your startup's purpose and passion, remembering why you embarked on this journey and how your venture can make a positive impact. Seek support from mentors, advisors, and fellow entrepreneurs who've weathered similar storms, as their insights can be a guiding light in the darkest of times. Reassess your business model, expenses, and revenue streams, and be open to change and willing to adapt your strategy. Focus on the journey, not just the destination; visualize success, set achievable goals, and celebrate every small win along the way. Keep networking and pitching your startup, as your positivity can be infectious and make your business more appealing to potential partners and investors.

The best way to starting up is that have backing and a fall back plan. Relying too much on the funding from the onset is not an ideal situation to be. Trying working your way up to MVP or getting some customers. Always remember that if you have done the analysis properly before going deeply into solving the particular problem, means there is a market, there is a need. Just a matter of time before the VC can be convinced on the same as well. Hence just focus on the process and your ability to read the market. Then, get a proper presentation done for the VC pitch and understand how to present the USP to the investors.

While it's critically important to realize we've made progress, demonstrable progress, the sort leads to a moving forward with the solutions we've identified as necessary. We must also caution ourselves to not inflate the value of any single success, as real progress is a never-ending sequence of small little things. If we're not careful, we'll conflate these little successes with major successes, and more often than not, if we do this, find the major successes nearly impossible to realize. Everything is truly, at its core, a series of small little steps which we can only look back on collectively as actual full on success.

Startup is a long term game. Its full of surprises, twist & turns, stressful environment etc. Hence its always better to cherish all the moments of wins or happiness. Be it reaching MVP, getting new customers, getting new employee etc. Often the team which is most motivated and happy, they succeed in long term compared to the teams which are unhappy and stressed about anything. Funding for certain companies can be make or break. Hence such events always help keep the things positive and in the right direction.

Ask to be your mentor. Yes, they will be busy but ask for a favour. One or two meetings per month will be a gift for you which will boost your internal confidence in yourself and help your project.

Pick your advisors, mentors and senior team with the greatest of care. In my first startup, our investors identified a weakness on our team and cautioned us to hire a seasoned professional to help us. I did. I hired someone highly seasoned and experienced. Then I proceeded to not listen to any of their recommendations, as I knew the solution we were bringing forward and how we would revolutionize the world. On his way out, his having given his resignation letter, he told me something has stuck with me all these decades latter. Bring in those far more skilled and knowledgeable about domains in business than you are, then listen to them. Because if you knew what they knew, you wouldn't have needed to hire them in the first place.

Also hire professional if required to do the ppt better and take support from team, Co-founder, mentor, ex bosses, friends, other founders etc to help you see the way forward.

Its important to have perspective in everything. The one constant the we have in life is CHANGE. Everything is constantly evolving and changing. So if you are faced with a headwind then the world is telling you to change direction. I was taught that success is not measure by the amount of times that I fail but rather the amount of times that I could have failed but kept going. In other words success is measured in "units of failure." the farther you traverse your journey of success the more failures you will face. When you over come those failures, you've moved to the next phase of your journey. So embrace the failure. Understand it. Master it. overcome it!
