Take out your personal emotion on the subject. To be impartial you must distance yourself from your 'emotionally vested' opinion and stick to the facts. To be truly unbiased is likely not going to be possible, inside your head at least, especially when it's a subject that you have a strong opinion on. I would encourage having a curious mind to seek out others opinions and get to the root of why they think a certain way. It makes for a much more interesting conversation when you are able to facilitate different views.
