Understand the game. Well-written grants worthy of funding do get rejected. Knowing that part of the funding landscape and success of application is not something you have complete control over will help alleviate the negative emotions of a rejection. Also know that rejection will elicit an emotion. So give yourself space to process that emotion. By doing so, you will cultivate a sense of maturity and an understanding that a rejection in any shape or form will elicit a human and innate response. It is a matter of biology. So let it play out. Then move one to the next application.
