Sometimes such a process makes clear that it's maybe not about the tool, but about missing collaboration and culture. And that needs a totally different changes process than introducing a tool.

Tool buddies - sounds fun & is fun! Each team or departement gets one or more tool buddies that are approachable for all the other colleagues if there are technical or business-related questions. It makes the process more human than only using a help hotline and mass digital trainings in the beginning.

Having successful introduced this type of tool into a number of organisations, there are lots of important ways to encourage adoption. The two that stand out for me are: 1. The tool must be used to enable the organisation to achieve its business priorities and outcomes. While we all enjoy seeing pictures of colleagues pets, if that's what the tool is known for, it will never achieve the intended ROI. But when you use it to encourage collaboration around business priorities, then you will succeed. 2. The Exec team must use the tool to collaborate, in the same way as colleagues are expected to use it. Role modelling encourages new behaviours which in turn shapes the culture.

Culture eats tools for breakfast - I think that's how the saying goes ?? Way before you think about tools, you need to ask yourself "How and where to we collaborate? Where don't we? And what would the ideal situation look like?" This often is part of a larger change and transformation process and -rightly so - a question of work culture. Therefore it needs to be addressed first in my opinion.
