This will deliver much greater impact on your organization than implementing 5S just for the sake of doing it.

I have found that the 5S principles can be applied to many different areas not just a manufacturing environment. I have seen it applied to IT spaces to allow for removal of waste and creating a system of finding equipment. I have also seen it applied to cubicles and office spaces. Every item had a place and shared items consistently had a home.
