Help people embrace change by reminding them how they have done that in the past. Ask people to go back to the start of their careers or education and think about a new skill or technology that made them uncomfortable but that they learned. A new computer technology. Touch typing. Driving. A new language. Everyone has something they had to work hard to learn. How did they feel? How did they get themselves to do that? What would their career be like if they did not do that? Learning lessons from our past is a great way to find lessons for our future.
