Trends emerge all the time, however choose the one that makes sense for the scenario in which your community is currently living, in other words, there is no point looking at something that you don't even want the market in which you live in is mature. You will find that there are few right tools. You will find that it’s your ability to stitch tools together to create meaningful outcomes is crucial. Vendors and opensource tools rarely fill all the gaps. It’s your automation skills that will be key to creating the right tools environment for your architecture.

Whoa!!! Depending on what you are researching, and what you discover, the advice at left may be about the WORST possible thing you can do. If you find a vulnerability in commercial software, for example, DO NOT publicize it before reporting the issue to a centralized vulnerability management body or to the appropriate vendor (the third-party and/or the vendor should give you credit for the report)... Disseminating the info without a proper quiet report will get you recognition, but not the kind of recognition that you want!

I personally don't post any findings. And if I share any insights on the vulnerability or leak only without company name. To the vendors: would still be nice to at least get a "thank you" when sending a report and not just your engineers sniffing on my Linkedin profile. ??

Sharing your results may not be possible due to legal reasons. I would recommend participation in opensource projects pending legal in writing approval from the firm you work for. Along with presenting your research at conferences. Automation developed to support your firm is intellectual property and thus it’s owned by your employer. Without legal approval you can’t share.

If computers worked perfectly, and AIs knew how to account for, and correct, all human mistakes, we would not have cybersecurity problems... So, at the present time, it might not be wise to take cybersecurity advice written by an AI without human oversight...

I think Cybersecurity awareness is very important. Generally Cybersecurity adds a quality value in a product/service and not a sale-able feature. The complete supply chain including the managers should be made aware of the risks and importance of Cybersecurity processes.
