Respectful language can help you influence any kind of such situations. Behave normal and think before using words which can hurt others. Treat people as humans and avoid being biased.

Checking your own biases is a crucial step before making decisions, especially in hiring. Here's a simplified guide: Look Inside: Take a moment to think about your own beliefs and preferences. Reflect on whether any unconscious ideas might affect your choices. Seek Feedback: Ask others for input. Sometimes, they can see things you might miss. Be open to feedback about any potential biases you might have. Use Tools: Try online tests like the Implicit Association Test (IAT). They can help uncover hidden biases. These tools provide insights into your preferences and associations.

I promote my brand, regarding merit, profession, gender, age, and others. Then, I create an accessible website where applicants get information from a range of recruitment platforms. Finally, we will hire diversified groups of employees, from various social groups by using the right technology.

To make things more fair and equal in hiring, it's important to speak up and advocate for change. Here's how you can do it: Speak Out: Share your thoughts and ideas about making the hiring process more inclusive. Talk about things like bias, unfair treatment, or lack of diversity. Express Your Views: Let others know your opinions on what needs to change. Explain why diversity and fairness are important to you. Challenge Unfairness: Don't be afraid to question things that seem unfair or biased. Challenge the way things are if they don't seem right.

Be the change you want to see in your organization. If you want to ensure adequate hiring for the LGBTQIA+ community, take part in the DEI initiatives and communicate to the leadership about your interest in advocating for a more diverse workforce. Similarly, get involved in the initiatives for working mothers and returnship programs of your organization for new mothers and help the leadership find out the ways of improving the same by advocating for the best business practices. Take small, but constant steps and you shall see a major change in the workforce diversity in a few years, provided, you make your voice heard at the right forums across the organization!

For instance, implementing name-blind recruitment strategies to conceal personal details from applications can substantially contribute to unbiased assessments. I think it’s also important to understand data as well and how to change the way that we think about hiring diverse groups and being include. For example, data shows that groups that have diversity of race/ religion/ gender/ socio-economic bacfkounds, produce the best results. Also, words mean things. When we say diversity that doesn’t mean we are “lowering” quality etc. That mentality is what I believe leads to conflicts and rejection of diversity efforts. By adding women, women/ men/ nonbinary folks of color that doesn’t mean we are “lowering the bar. Lastly, languages is importat. I no longer use the word minority because people of color are the global majority. I also don’t use underrepresented, I use traditionally excluded groups.
