These are the basis for ensuring the organisation is viewed on a pedestal, compared to its counterparts are: a diversity of cultural backgrounds and the gender makeup of people. If an organisation wants to get buy in from staff impacted by change into the future, demographics can have a significant sway in how the organisation designs it policies and programs. Artificial intelligence can also have a significant influence in how a substantial analysis or mapping exercise is conducted.

2 Communicate the vision and goals

One of the most common roadblocks to change is a lack of communication and clarity. If people do not know why the change is happening, what it entails, and how it will benefit them and the organization, they may resist or reject it. As part of the vision it can helpful to include a moment of reflection on past efforts and how they got the organisation to the point it is at today. Only speaking about the future as positive evolution could give the impression that the future is good and the past is bad. The combination of recognizing past efforts and achievements and looking forward can prevent tripping into the unwanted pitfall of polarisation.

3 Involve and empower the team

Another roadblock to change is a lack of involvement and empowerment. If people feel that they have no say or control over the change, they may feel alienated or threatened by it. Therefore, you need to involve and empower your team in the change process, and make them feel valued and respected. You can do this by soliciting their input, ideas, and opinions, and incorporating them into the decision-making and implementation. You can also delegate tasks and responsibilities, provide training and support, and recognize and reward their contributions and achievements.
