Involving them can only work if their input is also used. That process starts from the top, if C-level doesn't use the input or feedback they receive, and the next level beneath that does the same thing,... People will tell when they're being "involved" for the sake of making them feel involved. Sure to backfire tactic. So make sure you know the level above you actually does something with your feedback and input regarding the why of the company, before painting the picture that everyone's input and feedback truly matters.

It is a leaders responsibility to connect the dots between the company vision and the contributions of the individuals. The actions like market share, new products, pricing, segmentation etc can be monitored with time lines.

Not everyone in the team will have the same levels of interest, autonomy or direction not to mention commitment. Invest some time in exploring every team player’s wiifm and ask them to rephrase it in their own words, this way you will start the ball rolling I ask my team on a scale of 1-10 how clear and how committed they are and have this as a weekly habit

Re:engagement of all members- I will never forget the example that was given to us during a course on company's growth: there was a person who was cleaning the steps just before the door of a spaceship. This guy was waking every day at 4 am just to rush and clean thoroughly the few steps outside the spaceship. His work was very important because he should ensure that no microbes or anything undetected would enter the ship. When he was asked what he does and how he can remain so motivated he did not answer "i'm a cleaner" or "its very important for the place to be clean" anything related but:"I help my team go to space!" This example always comes to my mind when i need to explain to my team the bigger vision of a project.

Event the most well considered and beautifully crafted Vision and Strategy will have a serious risk of falling flat if not woven and crafted into the day to day communication with teams. How? A Variety of executions, formats and visual treatments. Treat the strategy as we might do a marketing campaign, taking into consideration a messaging hierarchy and psychological techniques/ behavioural science. And just like any campaign; have metrics and measurements in place and a plan for how/ when/ where/ what and who. Vision and Strategy should enable Prioritisation, which is the biggest enabler of Agility and Empowerment, which in turn provide an Organisation the best chance of executing a Strategy.

Embed your vision and strategy in daily routines. Practice elevator pitches to communicate values swiftly and precisely. Reiterate these in meetings, evaluations, and successes to align team efforts with company goals.
