Retail Sales is just not about creating sales for your organisation. One way you motivate your team members about creating sales for products is letting them know that they are the number one product the organization has and both personal and organization growth and development depends on their initiatives and attitudes. It's all about being a product of the product. Putting more emphasis on the employee as a product will encourage and inspire their efforts to strive to be the best they can be.

In my experience, it’s always been walking the talk with your employees. Don’t just communicate with them. You’ll want to work with them every step of the way to create a positive experience and to help create purpose. Be proactive and guide them through the process of creating ideas!

First step is to build a friendly environment between the employees and for making a decision give chance to the employee , give them a confidence for the performance of the business and give better training to the employees

I often share with employees our weekly sales and metrics. Tying in their efforts to individual targets to help them understand the "why" behind the ask for performance.

Case Studies and Testimonials: Create case studies or success stories that highlight how your sales team's efforts have positively impacted other customers. Showcase specific challenges faced by customers and how your team helped solve them, resulting in measurable benefits. Data and Metrics: Use data and metrics to illustrate the impact. Show statistics, such as increased sales figures, customer retention rates, or improvements in customer satisfaction scores due to the efforts of your sales team. Before-and-After Scenarios: Present before-and-after scenarios to illustrate the change brought about by your sales team's efforts. This could include visual representations or charts displaying improvements or transformations.

Train and Empower Employees: Provide comprehensive training to your team on effective communication, active listening, problem-solving, and empathy. Empower them to make decisions that benefit customers without needing constant approval. Focus on Communication: Encourage clear, polite, and empathetic communication with customers. Teach your team to use positive language, active listening, and to respond promptly to inquiries or concerns. Personalize Interactions: Address customers by their names and tailor interactions based on their preferences or history with your business. Personalization helps in building rapport and makes customers feel valued.

'People don't quit jobs, they quit bosses.' You just have to actually, genuinely care about your people. That's really it. Make them feel like their well-being is important to you. The work is the work and we need to be professionals and execute on a strategy - but that strategy fails if the people are not able to perform at optimal capacity. Encourage mental health days. Do not 'shame' people for calling out sick for themselves or their children. Know everyone's favorite soda or tea or water and buy one unannounced.

Relationships with customers actually starts with your employees. Managers have comfort in repeating the same sing song response that they read or heard from unimaginative mangers of their past. We seem to search for easy answers to complex opportunities to understand your team. An occasional pot luck is great but you can’t eat your way to an answer. The moments you take to speak, share and value your employee opens the door to a valued response by an employee to your customer. But if all else fails remember ‘ Teamwork makes the dream work’.

I've found by pointing out how each team member can support their fellow team members in the quest of supplying the best customer service, it becomes a common goal not just corporate rhetoric.
