How can you help leaders find their vision?

Purpose is something that we choose not something we find, but something we create. Exploring purpose involves reviewing very simply, what does this person care about based on their beliefs and experiences. Then digging in deeper to see if what they care about is broader and a value. When you can define a list of your clients values, you can then start to get a hint of the purpose they want to focus on right now.

Future visioning is important but it will be foggy. The goal of future visioning is less about the vision of the future, and more about what does that mean for how you show up today.

Once you know where you want to go, you can figure out multiple paths to get there. It's critical not to pick one but instead to ideate on other options. The goal is to highlight to the client that if one path doesn't work, you just step around it.

Alignment needs to come at many levels. I have found that checking for Neurological alignment at the level of environment, behavior, capabilities, values and beliefs, identity and higher purpose is a very powerful exercise. I have always seen valuable insights being generated in my sessions through this.

Mapping out the expected behaviors and results are helpful, particularly when executives are facing a lot of change. It sets more realistic expectations and supports executives with understanding how their own behaviors influence results respectively.
