If you have booked online for the passenger,you will have a back up of all tickets issued,you can search from there and send to passenger. If he is done it himself or through third party and it is done online then call the airline call center and get the details.

Nowadays confirmations are sent in many ways in multiple notifications on various social platforms/SMS, it's automatically registered into the device calendar to prevent issues.
