How can you handle rejection when prospecting for photography clients?

I always ask what the reasons were for them choosing a different candidate. Many times, in my spectrum of the industry, it's because they went for someone who was charging less. And most times, they aren't taking quality into consideration which can be quite frustrating. This leads to me double confirming with myself that I am worth what I am charging and standing for it. Knowing that the right client will value me.

It's not at all how business works for me. I don't prospect for clients, they usually come to me... I just make sure that I present my work on different platform,

yes definitely! I always get "sad or upset" and then I remember to "take the emotion" out of it...Hear the words being COMMUNICATED. Although it's hard NOT to take it personally..........you must know that it's not about YOU (like the "don't take it personally) but really. Don't. haha. Just get the message , get better, get going :)

It always helps me to speak with those who admire my work, who have shaped my path, who've helped me reach the place I'm in. Listening to those who believe in you most can help you a ton when you're not believing in yourself.

Just have a look at the most successful entrepeneurs, athletes, singers, etc. They all got rejected many times before they made it. They all failed before they found success. Take that as a motivation. Don't let a failure destroy your passion and dreams. It happens to all of us. And it definitely happened to the best of us!

Keeping a positive attitude IS easy ONCE you put the EMOTION aside...knowing that "they just want this" or they "just want that"...they are "explaining" to you not "fussing" at you. (although THAT is not how it SEEMS sometimes) It will truly be all good once you SEE THIS and accomplish what needs to be done , even if it's not for them anymore. Make sense?

Seek New Opportunities! exactly. I "lost" so many Festival Poster Contests . I would enter 3 at a time ...never WON. (they said that mine were in the top 3) but then they would always choose another as the winner. (it was a $500 prize and I REALLY wanted it PLUS the HONOR of having an International Poster Design that people collected) I almost quit but then I entered into another (let's just say "category") and won SIX times. I can now teach the festival boards a thing or two of what to do or NOT do and I could certainly teach other Artists HOW TO WIN A POSTER CONTEST. I learned SO much about myself and others.
