Everyone will have an opinion on your pitch. Most of them are wrong. Always ask investors what they would need to get excited about your company. Listen hard. Dig deeper. When they tell you they don't like your traction or market, or your GTM, you'll feel angry or distressed. You'll want to reject it or prove them wrong. You have data, a vision, a plan! Do not emotionally shut down. Keep your mind open and engaged. Expand the rejection with questions. What don't you like about the TAM? How would you approach this? Dig deeper. Take notes. Be specific. This is the only way to learn how qualified investors view you and your startup. It's exactly like product feedback from users, except you are the product. Practice this.
