Build a project timeline for the client to know roughly when they'll have to review stuff. People are busy so if you send unexpectedly a draft, don't expect them to review it immediately. You're an agency they hired and paid already, they know you can wait. If anything else goes in the more urgent business, they'll likely deal with it first. Don't overdo it with the contract to 'protect yourself'. It shows, no trust between the parties. Just state the basics around the process, communicate everything in multiple ways (documents, emails, zoom meetings) and ensure there is a person responsible for the project from the client's side. Don't allow your communication to go to waste because of bad internal communication on the client's side.

To avoid customers that are always changing their mind, I explain in the contract that feedback is organized in 2 rounds. First round, we accept any feedback, while during the second round we review only the changes we made on the feedback provided during the round one, nothing else. After that, we usually charge for extra editing time.

Create the perfect template folder that can be duplicated for every project. It should contain a Premiere project with equally perfect bins. Consider folders and subfolders for everything from client assets to music, sound effects, captures and storyboards.

One of the best ways to use markers and comments is to upload your video to Vimeo or frame.io onto a specific review link where your client can add notes at specific time markers requesting which changes they would like. This helps the editor and the entire team be on one accord with the changes that are being made. The editor can then respond to that comment and reply with the work that has been done or changed in. The editor can then upload a new video to a new link so all parties can see the prior version and the conversation happening in the comment section for the changes that have been made.

There are times when a client/director requests for reversions, and it will be crazy to have to do that restoration manually.

This way you can easily see from looking at a set of sequences like, for example, v1.1, v1.2, v2, v2.1, v3, where and when these different types of feedback occurred. This is particularly useful since colleague feedback may be less formal - verbal even - whereas client feedback should be documented, and clearly identifying these differences can help you track changes.

In addition, instead of delivering a complete video at the end of the project, consider making incremental deliveries of sections or parts of the video. This allows adjustments to be made throughout the process and prevents significant revisions from accumulating in the final stage.
