There are different versions of SCORM, such as 1.1, 1.2, 2004, and Tin Can API (also known as xAPI or Experience API). Each version has different features, specifications, and requirements. For example, SCORM 1.2 only allows one status per course (completed, incomplete, passed, or failed), while SCORM 2004 allows multiple statuses per course (completed, incomplete, passed, failed, browsed, or not attempted). If your content and LMS use different versions of SCORM, they may not communicate properly and cause tracking issues. To avoid this, make sure you use the same version of SCORM for both your content and LMS, or use a compatible version if possible.

For example, the function Initialize() is used to initiate the communication, the function GetValue() is used to retrieve data from the LMS, and the function SetValue() is used to send data to the LMS. If your code is faulty or missing, it may cause errors or gaps in the communication and affect the tracking of user progress. To avoid this, make sure you write your code correctly and follow the SCORM specifications. You can also use tools such as SCORM debuggers or loggers to inspect and analyze your code and data.

Here are my tips for you: -If your company has a publishing guide (I hope they do), read it carefully and follow the steps there. If you find something not clear, then contact someone from the publishing team to help you out. In case you do not have a publishing guide or a publishing team, then follow these steps: 1- Export your course in a version/format that is supported by your LMS. Research your LMS and know more about its capabilities. 2- In case, you need to export in more modern formats (SCORM 2004, xAPI or cmi5), make sure you include/choose correct settings/configurations. 3- If you are packaging your content without eLearning authoring tools, then there could be an issue with your code.
