It’s not going to help tremendously to just watch someone’s finished work, because you don’t know what the original brief was. I recommend asking for a work sample as well as a brief explanation of the brief/directive and HOW they learned and followed the brand voice to produce the video. If someone can articulate how they adapt to any brand voice they can likely adapt to yours too.

The brand must go beyond sharing a generic brand standards guide and provide a detailed brief, references and objectives. The editor is responsible for asking the right questions to understand the brief and provide input and suggestions for the client to consider. Always keep in mind that you give due to consideration to an individual's spirit of learning. The ATTITUDE MATTERS! If an individual is not flexible or open to feedbacks it might raise issues going forward. On the other hand if an individual has less experience but is willing to upgrade themselves as per requirements, it is a win-win.
