If looking for that next step up into a leadership role, the first place I would look is to the person that held the role before you. often that position is open due to the incumbent being promoted, so there is a chance they are still around to ask, even if just via email. If not, if they either left the company or for other reasons are not viable mentors, ANA offers mentors. You can even specify that you need a mentor for this exact situation, and seek help that way. As i have mentioned in other responses, don't limit yourself to the nursing field for mentors either, leadership qualities, values and requirements are often the same across the board, and only the details and exact implementation varies with the field.
