First of all I would not choose a PR agency to work on branding and identity… this is not their job. I would rather go for a marketing agency with a proven expertise in strategic marketing and with a great art director. Then I would let these people enter the Company intimacy, have them spend time with employees and customers, listen to stakeholders, possibly (in a b2b context) experience the brand and then do the job. If it’s to be done it must be done well. Otherwise it’s just a waste of money.
