How can you establish credibility with new clients?

Building #trust and rapport as a vocal #coach is essential. To establish #credibility with new clients: 1. Professional Online Presence: Maintain a polished website and #socialmedia profiles. 2. Client Testimonials: Showcase feedback from satisfied clients. 3. Clear #Communication: Be responsive, answer inquiries promptly, and provide clear #information. 4. Free Resources: Share valuable tips or resources to demonstrate expertise. 5. Consistent Improvement: Continuously update your #skills and #knowledge to ensure you offer top-notch services.

Showcase your work, yet do not try to over-showcase, oversell or try to gauge attention. There is a thin line of difference that will either help the client to be curious about your work or put a cross against your name. Be mindful!

A client on any level needs to know you have already walked that same path, there is nothing like experience. Certifications are more system related than proof that you truly can perform or have something to offer that will improve them or give them more than hope. The how to brings automatic credibility, because the steps are what people are really looking for over the theory and emotional uncertainty. I had a doctor damage my intestine during surgery, it took a robot to repair that mistake after a month of suffering , so yes give that certification some respect but just understand it doesn't mean mistakes aren't possible.

Two things I have found really helpful are: 1) Take time to build a genuine connection and be painstakingly honest and realistic about goals , targets and expectations. 2) Always "UNDER-PROMISE" and "OVER-DELIVER". This ensures your work gets word-of-mouth referrals which in my opinion remains the best form of advertisement and gives you a reputation of one who gets the work done without much fuss and ado.

In my experience, this is the most valuable aspect of creating credibility with the new client. In my view, apart from sharing achievements and success stories, what makes the new connection meaningful is the show of vulnerability as a coach, creating safe space for the clients to express themselves. Also, letting the client know what’s possible and what can’t be offered (could be scope or capability mismatch). Cultivating trust & honest intention to help the client in their goals in the best of capacities leads to a sustainable and a productive relationship!

Authenticity is unbeatable! In my experience, it communicates far beyond language, etiquette, or even credentials and pedigree. It is felt and serves as a method of vulnerable connection, with is often received as honesty. Authenticity makes coaches seem trustworthy and in an area that is so personal and often intimidating, a coach that is being authentic can help new clients to feel safe.

Word of mouth from those who have worked with you is the most impactful and effective way I have found to establish credibility with new and prospective clients. If you don't know me, all that I say will often still be held with a level of caution and even skepticism. However, if someone they know and respect who knows them and their goals can do so much to convey the value I offer and through the context of established trust and relationship.
