A pragmatic approach, grounded in meticulous planning, ensures the plan remains a blueprint for success rather than an aspirational vision.

You must be involved in project design with your engineer and architect. Page turns at certain percentages of completion are critical to both you and your contractors as far as understanding basic requirements in the work. Review all plans from a contractor perspective. Is the scope clearly communicated? Are the details cross referenced if needed? Are the drawings easy to follow? If they are missing details, you will pay later as a change order. This is the most import step to achieve the nearly more realistic plan which most of them misses to do. We should regularly monitor the project performances and the same has to be input in the plan, wherein we shall understand the necessary adjustments to be made in the project for timely progress. The plan when revised should be reviewed by all the stack holders of the project and review mechanism should be made regular at least monthly twice to ensure that the scheduled plan reflects the project reality on Ground.
