Primero es centrarse en entender que es que lo hacen actualmente, entendiendo los problemas y dificultades que presentan, para luego hacer un cruce con los objetivos. Así, recién es que se puede comenzar a buscar una solución acorde al proceso. Otro, punto que muchas veces se deja de lado es incorporar a los usuarios en el proceso de mejora dado que son ellos lo que pueden hacer que el proceso funcione o no en el plazo esperado.
