Constructive criticism and feedbacks are a gamechanger to provide the vendors with the right direction and also infuse a ton of clarity in their hiring process. 3. Keeping the vendors updated about the position status from the company will also boost their morale to do better. If there is any change in skill requirement backend, informing the vendors will help them look for alternate skills. Performance is not a one time activity. It is an ongoing one and it can be successfully carried out when both parties are on the same page. Regular and timely feedback is the cornerstone.

Recognizing good performance and acknowledging it can go a long way in building excellent vendor-client relationship. Appreciate the efforts of the vendors when they have closed critical positions. Share the appreciation with internal stakeholders marking them in the mail too. It does wonders to their morale. Speak with them about their efforts and recognize that they are doing a great job. One conversation can change the hiring trajectory. With critical positions, provide them additional incentives to keep them motivated. It will keep the entire vendor team engaged and motivated.
