Most important aspect is that , QA should spent some time in creating proper background about scope of testing . They have to clearly communicate this to all stackholders , what will be QA goals and how it is achieved . They have also set some time aside in middle of development cycle to to understand actual progress make and some re alignment is needed or not.

QA needs to act symbiotic to the rest of the development team. Working as a tool rather than an enforcer or 'bad news bear', this will help an inclusive and respectful event created and maintained.
