Removing any single point of failure from the passive components of network and ensure backup connection contract is on place with accepted SLA and RTO by business will minimize the possibility of have Network downtime and impact of downtime occurring.

To measure network resilience, you need to have some key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect the network's performance and functionality during disruptions. Examples of network resilience KPIs include on-time performance, which is the percentage of flights that depart or arrive within a certain time window of their scheduled time, disruption recovery rate, which is the percentage of disrupted flights that are restored to their original or revised schedule within a certain time frame, passenger impact factor, which is the average number of passengers affected by a disruption per flight, and revenue impact factor, which is the average revenue loss or gain per passenger due to a disruption.

5 How to implement network resilience?

To ensure network resilience, a clear and consistent process must be implemented that involves network planners, the network operations center (NOC), and other stakeholders. This process should include monitoring the network performance and functionality, as well as external and internal factors that may affect it, with the data integration feature of the system. Additionally, any disruptions or deviations from the network plan should be detected using the data analysis and simulation features. The impact and severity of the disruptions should then be assessed using the scenario planning and optimization features. Responding to the disruptions requires choosing the best network plan or alternative with the decision support feature. Finally, the network plan or changes should be communicated to other stakeholders, such as crew, airport staff, passengers, and regulators, via appropriate channels and tools.
