Anecdotally, I haven't seen any evidence that LMSs are genuinely interchangeable. And this is a big problem. Sometimes your institution will use technologies that do not play well together or even that do the same thing, but just in different ways. While it's totally okay to prioritize using the program or app that does the better job of this task , you should never put your workforce in a position where they have to do work twice because of a poor implementation of an LMS with another one. One of the keys to finding the right LMS is making sure that it plays well with what you use already. So that is a good way to start. If you already have technological solutions, you may not need that from your LMS directly.
