If you are a coach and haven't graduated from an accredited program than you aren't being professional and you certainly aren't coaching. In fact, it's a disservice to the countless coaches and hours spent getting their credentials so they can practice professionally. There are now several governing bodies that one can get their accreditation so there's really no excuse at this point. I always advise anyone seeking a coach to first and foremost ask what their credentials are and where they received them. Upon finding out, do your own HW to see if they are legitimate. You deserve to know and deserve the best coach. Don't think it's a big deal? Would you let a Dr perform surgery on you that didn't attend medical school?

A community of any kind is only as good as the requirements set forth to join. Make sure your community comprises those that align with your beliefs, goals and practice. Ask yourself if these people share the same principles and practices as yourself. What do you have in common with them? Can they support you and better yet, are you interested and/or able to support them? Don't rush into a community for community sakes.. take your time and find your tribe.
