How can you ensure everyone knows the project's goals?

SMART-Ziele sind sehr oft Teilziele, orientieren sich aber immer an der Unternehmensstrategie. Beispiel aus der Personalberatung: Ein Unternehmen muss die Buchhaltung schnell neu aufstellen, weil sich viele offene Vorg?nge angeh?uft haben, dadurch ist die Kundenzufriedenheit schlecht, die HR-Abteilung gefordert. Sie hat hier mindestens zwei Teilziele. 1: Das Unternehmen will die offenen Vorg?nge schnell abarbeiten, ohne die bestehende Belegschaft zu überfordern. 2. Ziel: Das Unternehmen will die neu geschaffenen Stellen schnell und ressourcenschonend besetzen. Beide Ziele erfordern Personal, allerdings unterschiedliche Konstellationen. In beiden F?llen k?nnen punktuelle Hilfe von Branchenexperten dabei helfen, diese Ziele auch zu erreichen.

Envolver a equipe, comunicar e criar os recursos necessários para o projeto s?o etapas fundamentais. Assim como, definir posteriormente as responsabilidades de cada um da equipe, com prazos e etapas definidas e alinhadas.

Goal should answer 6Ws- what, who, when, where, why, and which involved in an action plan, that should be detailed enough. There should be a defined set of metrics to measure progress along the action plan, plus know how of the skill set required or tools to be deployed should be there.

In my experience, in order to define a SMART goal, the first step is putting that into writing to reinforce commitment and clarity. Sometimes a written goal may seem overwhelming, then it's probably a good practice to break it down into smaller, manageable and connected metrics to monitor. Reviewing and adjusting goals regularly to assess progress through scientific method is key. In doing so, you may also realize that you may have tracked the wrong metric, as an example if this does not have a direct causality effect with the ultimate goal. Hence I believe goal settings & monitoring is a continuous learning exercise.

Make sure GOALs are well defined, well articulated and clearly defined. Goals need to be defined in conjunction with the teams' inputs. There should be clear communication on the same and progress tracking on goals needs to be an ongoing exercise. There should be well defined way on how we are measuring the goals and how does it relate to the bigger objectives of the organization. It is also important to align the goals of organization with what an employee is expecting out from the role he or she is performing.

Often, we set goals & objectives, expecting teams to execute them as mandates. This approach can create a disconnect between the project goals & implementation at grass root level.. However, by actively sharing the big picture with the team—comprising the project's overarching vision, long-term objectives, & the broader mission—we bridge this gap. This involves transparently communicating the significance of their role within the larger context. The benefits are profound; it nurtures a shared sense of purpose, motivates & aligns individual efforts with collective objectives. When everyone understands & appreciates the big picture, it transforms the work from mere tasks to meaningful contributions, promoting a more engaged & cohesive team.

Absolutely agree. Everyone within an organization needs to understand how they fit in and how their efforts contribute to the overall success of an individual project and the overall success of the company. If the individual understands the larger picture they will better understand how their efforts can align with the overall strategy. Everyone wins when this occurs.

Einer konkreten, begeisternden, attraktiven Beschreibung der gemeinsamen Zukunft. Wie soll das erwünschte Ergebnis aussehen? Wie fühlt es sich an, wenn das Ergebnis erreicht ist? Wie sprechen die Menschen über das Ergebnis? Was hat sich (in der Welt) mit dem Ergebnis ver?ndert? Es lohnt sich, diese Fragen zu Beginn zu beantworten.

Este es uno de los puntos más importantes y que menor valor se le da ya que como ejecutivos nos enfocamos en el arranque del proyecto sin dar una buena explicación y detalle del mismo. Involucrar a los colaboradores y darles el know how completo nos ayudará a que entiendan el verdadero significado y alcance que tiene el mismo y de esta forma se podrá trabajar de una manera más enfocada y no solo por la inercia misma del proyecto. Actualmente la gente busca sentirse útil y productiva, buscando más que el reconocimiento el poder formar parte de grandes cambios y resultados.

Siempre me ha resultado muy valioso en comunicar claramente los objetivos que se deben de lograr cuando los analizamos con congruencia alineados a la misión y valores de la institución. Definir la ruta a seguir para alcanzarlos en equipo compromete y motiva más a todos los integrantes.

Involucrar al equipo, motivando su participación, y responsabilidad en las funciones en las diferentes tareas es clave para el éxito de una compa?ía. Sin equipo, no hay éxito, y sin éxito no hay compa?ías. En momentos, como los actuales, donde la cantidad de información y especialización es tan grande, es clave en el proceso de diferenciación que el equipo trabaje con profundidad, cada uno de los temas que han de desarrollar. Es por ello, que logro de valor se consigue siempre en equipo.

Un proyecto puede ser planificado de manera exacta y todo puede estar completamente claro; sin embargo, si no se involucra al equipo, se les explica con detenimiento, se evacuan las dudas que surjan, así como facilitar transparente y directamente la información pertinente, es fracaso está completamente garantizado.

Cuando involucro a mi equipo de trabajo logro tener una conexión especial que se detona en un mayor nivel de compromiso lo que genera mayor productividad y un mejor ambiente laboral , además la participación activa de los miembros de Equipo genera un entorno de colaboración , trabajo en equipo, aprendizaje y mejora continua !! Sin duda un elemento clave para el éxito de un proyecto !!

Involucrar al equipo implica asegurar su motivación. Para ello, hay que ayudar a que cada persona esté en el lugar que desea, merece y su talento le permita estar. A partir de ahí, es clave saber retar a cada miembro del equipo para que dé su mejor versión.

It is also important to communicate and constantly fulfill the key roles. It is important for everyone to know who they have to be and what they have to do to accomplish the goal.

Considero de suma importancia comunicar en todo momento a todo el equipo, no solo las metas, sino los avances y los cambios de decisión que surjan durante el desarrollo del proyecto. Muchas veces se toman decisiones desde la gerencia de proyecto y no se informan correctamente al equipo y esto hace que los esfuerzos vayan en diferentes direcciones. Las reuniones periódicas con agendas muy claras son de gran ayuda (no dejar todo en el correo electrónico). Puedo decir que una comunicación efectiva está ligada al éxito de un proyecto.

Es braucht das Verstehen der Ziele (Nachfragen hilft!), die Kenntnis des eigenen Beitrags zur Zielerreichung und das Commitment auf diese Ziele. SMART hin, SMART her;-)

Most of times we start with mega projects with huge goals which look impossible to achieve. The team starts working but after a time they lose track of things and go down the road. It's very important to divide up the big goal into intermediate goals and then to mark follow up meetings in which the purpose is to check the improvement status of the project. This will give the team a recurrent space to "remember" where they should go and see how they are doing so far. Having intermediate goals can also assess us more in detail if the goal was really achievable or not. It will give us a more accurate view of each step and we will be able to adjust the plan precisely to get things on track and speed again.

It’s also about celebrating milestones. Normally nothing is said to our teams when conquering goals and that brings people down. Remember we are human and need recognition!

Pause and reflect is a very old principle that in today's management id often underestimated. We sometimes get trapped in doing things quickly / under time pressure, rather than holding our horses for a moment and deciding which decision will bring optimized results. It needs a distinct understanding of the tasks ahead to be able to use resources effectively. This can only be achieved if we keep our heads up and look ahead to keep the direction and to see if everybody we need in our team is with us on track

It's common to find ourselves rolling up our sleeves and diving into execution when reviewing and revising seems challenging or time-consuming. Yes, it's crucial to resist that urge. Instead, focus on providing support and guidance to the team during the Project review process. This means offering constructive feedback, clarifying objectives & facilitating discussions to refine strategies. When we directly enter execution mode, it can inadvertently undermine the team's ownership & learning opportunities. Trust the team's abilities, guide them through feedback & provide resources or mentorship as needed. Dar seguimiento constante a los avances y/o a los obstáculos que se puedan presentar en el camino de logro de los objetivos es imprescindible. Los procesos son dinámicos y durante la implementación deben afinarse detalles. Hay que mantenerse cerca del equipo comunicándose con transparencia para detectar a tiempo cualquier cambio que sea necesario implementar para lograr la meta común. Puede que en ese camino sea necesario brindar capacitación, cambiar o incluir algún rol distinto, se debe mantener al equipo motivado y con el suficiente conocimiento para que comprenda la importancia de llegar a la meta.

Una de las cosas que también me resulta útil es reducir el número de reuniones excesivas para planificar, un método práctico es la utilización de metodologías ágiles que nos permiten adaptar la forma de trabajo a las condiciones de un proyecto específico, consiguiendo flexibilidad e inmediatez.
