Good layout including material handling is basic and determines most of the day in and day out VA/NVA activities including how can you handle abnormalities correction for reliability.

Choose reliable and reputable equipment suppliers. Utilize certified and experienced installation teams. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they lead to failures. Utilize condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis to detect early signs of equipment deterioration. Implement a predictive maintenance program based on condition monitoring data.

Without equipment reliability, the essence of investment is a waste, ensuring equipment deliver as designed is a function of the care we give to the equipment from Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection and Tightening (CLIT) to proper maintenance schedule and properly executed and with this our plant productive will be guaranteed with high level of efficiency and effectiveness

For maintenance of reliability, ownership of equipment “My Machine” concept or help of tools like TPM, 5S is to be adopted, implemented rigorously, audited, monitored and sustained well.

Management of maintenance "windows of opportunity" that occur with unexpected production stops is a keen way to add value. We should make every action contribute positively to the bottom line, no matter if it is crucial or menial.
